(1) Right Click on the desktop and create a “New Shortcut”
(2) Paste the following “c:\program files\google\google talk\googletalk.exe” /nomutex into the text box.
(3) Click Next, and name the shortcut with whatever you want e.g. “Gtalk Multiple Logins”
Here you go , you are all set to chat with two different gmail accounts.
Use SMS to recover your Google Account !
There is a new way of password recovery using SMS introduced by Google.
This is what Google had to say for introduction of this recovery method “Since most people use cell phones these days, we decided text messaging would be an easy, convenient addition to our password recovery options. To set up password recovery via your mobile phone, just sign in to your account and click Change Password Recovery Options. Enter your mobile phone number and current password and then click Save. If you lose access to your account for any reason, you’ll be able to regain access by entering a code we’ll send in a text message.”
You can reach this Page to set your Mobile number for receiving the code to regain your account, by going to https://www.google.com/accounts/ManageAccount and then by clicking on “Change password recovery options” under “Personal Settings”. This would take you to a page where in you need to provide your credentials and then you will be able to set “SMS recovery mode” by providing your Phone Number. This currently works only in the US.
Certainly an innovative way to recover password. I am waiting for this feature to be enabled in India.
TweetPscyh : Psychological Profiling of Twitter User’s
Lot of information is shared on twitter by a whole bunch of users and some times the information shared are personal. So some one decided to build a search engine which would carry out the Psychological profiling of the Twitter user. That search engine is TweetPsych and it is desgined by Dan Zarraella , a social and viral marketing scientist.
Dan’s taken two linguistic methods for unraveling the written word, combined it with the Porter stemming algorithm to reduce words to their base meaning, and created TweetPysch, a simple new service that derives a psychological profile based on a user’s last 1,000 tweets.
The site is using the Regressive Imagery Dictionary (RID) and Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count (LIWC) methods to analyze every character and return primordial, conceptional, emotional, and cognitive content.
Basically when you run tweetpsych on a user it provides two kinds of analysis
(1) Cognitive content (2) Primordial,Conceptual and Emotional Content.
I decided to run the tweetpsych on the founder himself danzarrella, Click here to see the results of his Psycholofical Profiling based of recent 1000 tweets from him.
Nice tool to do psychological profiling of people who follow you and people whom you follow
