Screenjelly: ScreenCapture and Tweet
Screenjelly is a free service that records your screen activity along with your voice and lets you share it as a video with your friends via Twitter, Facebook or email. It’s the quickest way to show what’s on your screen and get instant feedback.
Screenjelly is a browser-based screen sharing app. After allowing a Java applet to run on your computer, you press record and have 3 minutes to show anything on your computer screen, using your built-in microphone to do a voiceover.
It comes from the the team that created ScreenToaster, which was bought by enterprise video provider Veodia last month.
This site is highly useful for showcasing what you are doing and get instant feedback. It eliminates several steps in such a process – you simply perform and record what your app or product is intended to do, and accompany it with your voice in order to illustrate everything.
iPadio: Audio broadcasting from any phone!
ipadio is neat service that allows people to stream their voice to the Internet and/or record it for later playback. Once uploaded, the recording can be geo-located on a Google (NSDQ: GOOG) map, tagged, shared with the world, and later downloaded as an MP3 file.
The service is free and easy to use. All you have to do is call ipadio’s number and start talking, singing or do whatever you want to do. ipadio is free, and you will only pay your operator’s calling rates to use it.
Ipadio aims to become the voice of the web, offering an easy way of phonecasting live to the web from any phone, from anywhere in the world.
All phlogs (phone blogs) can be viewed at this site (unless, of course, they’ve been directed elsewhere - ipadio can be tailored to meet organisation’s specific requirements, such as appearing in different places or kept within an intranet)
Phlogs can be shared across any number of social sites, photos added, tags, geolocation – everything you’d expect of a social app. The sharing can also be set up automatically.
There’s no need to download anything, although iphone users can download a funky little app free from the Apps store which offers the choice of automatic geolocation and extra picture uploads.

Cisco appoints Chief Strategic Officer
Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) today announced that Ned Hooper, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Consumer, would assume additional responsibilities as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). As CSO, Hooper will play a key leadership role in developing Cisco’s business strategy and identifying market transitions.
Hooper is an 11-year veteran of Cisco. Prior to his current role, he was Vice President of Business Development, where he led the company’s acquisition strategy focusing on growth opportunities by entering new markets and integrating innovative technologies into Cisco businesses. Through acquisitions including Linksys, Scientific Atlanta, Webex, IronPort, Airspace and Pure Digital, he has led Cisco’s expansion in new markets, resulting in more than $5 billion in additional annual revenue since 2002.
Hooper joined Cisco through the acquisition of Lightspeed International, where he was Director of Business Development responsible for implementing a global distribution strategy. He has an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and a BA from the University of Colorado.
I am a big fan of foresightedness of Chambers, its very rare that organizations identify key roles like Chief Strategic Office, Chief Globalization Officer which is very important for identifying new market oppurtunities and globalization.
Cisco is definetly setting a trend which many organizations would follow.

Serious IE security hole
Microsoft releases security updates on the second Tuesday of each month. It seems that there’s a security hole in Internet Explorer that they haven’t yet patched, and it’s so serious that users are advised to immediately apply a workaround fix.
This vulnerability will allow attackers infect the victim’s computers (running Windows XP or Windows Server 2003) after they’ve clicked on a video link in Internet Explorer.
The vulnerability allows attacker to run arbitrary code under the same user rights of the local user. Microsoft says that they’re already aware of malicious hackers exploiting this vulnerability.
If you’re running IE under Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, you can get the emergency patch here .
